Marion County Second Amendment Case Granted
Appeal to United States Supreme Court
Charleston, W.Va. - The United States Supreme Court has agreed to hear the Department of Justice's appeal in U.S v. Hayes, a case originating in Marion County, West Virginia. They are seeking to clarify a federal law commonly known as the Lautenberg Act, which makes it a crime to possess a gun after being convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence (MCDV).
This case has been handled by Mr. Giatras since 2004, and will be argued before the Supreme Court of the United States during the October 2008 Term of Court i Washington DC.
