The New Crack Cocaine Guidelines Are Now In Effect
Effective March 1,2008 the new guidelines that influence the sentence for crack cocaine charges have been applied retroactively to reduce the time in jail for many defendants. Currently the Federal Public Defender is aggressively reviewing all cases to determine which will be subject to the new guidelines.
